COVID-19 mRNA Vaccines: Emperor’s New Clothes

Natural immunity is far more superior than COVID-19 vaccines against re-infection with other emerging variants. Vaccines maybe vital for high-risk population, but not for the otherwise healthy. Given that COVID-19 vaccine safety and efficacy is still debatable, the decision to mandate vaccines and even think about vaccine passports is ridiculous and absurd.

For months we have heard that vaccines were going to end this pandemic. The mRNA vaccines were these new, innovative panacea. “Operation Warp Speed” was used to develop these vaccines and billions of taxpayer dollars poured into a previously failed technology to treat COVID-19 caused by “sudden acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)” SARS-CoV-2, except that it didn’t really cause respiratory distress (or ARDS) in majority of people, only a small, a very small fraction. Except, this mRNA technology didn’t go beyond Phase 1 for influenza viruses and within 43 days, there were nearly 124 unsolicited adverse events (AEs) reported. In fact, the intradermal (ID) route had to be stopped as there were severe adverse events. The authors write, and I quote “Overall, 124 unsolicited AEs were reported in the intramuscular dose groups. The most common unsolicited AEs were upper respiratory tract infection, back pain, pharyngitis, and oropharyngeal pain.” And for the second route “ID vaccination was associated with high rates of solicited AEs (eTable 2, supplemental materials), and the sponsor elected to discontinue enrollment of these cohorts.”

Given that over 25% of the population was already infected with SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 positive before the vaccines were rolled out, these so-called 95% efficacious vaccines that were touted to decrease incidence, should have reined in the virus. When the numbers of breakthrough infections started to increase, the CDC stopped collecting data from the fully vaccinated people (as of May 2021) unless these people had severe symptoms or were hospitalized. Reporting adverse events to Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) became impossible. So, if there is no data being collected on adverse events and no cases from fully vaccinated people being reported, and only the unvaccinated are reported as cases, no wonder it is the “Pandemic of the unvaccinated”. No wonder the vaccines are safe and efficacious. Vaccines are the Emperor’s new clothes indeed!
